During a ten-week quarter, students read and research current web convenstions, html 5, css 3, persona development, scenario creation, and information architecture. Design 573 is a studio based project oriented course with regular lectures that build on the reading and homework assignments. It, like the other classes listed here are part of the design minor curriculum within the Department of Design at The Ohio State University.

Published and Presented the paper “Mapping An Integrated Experience For A University Council of Graduate Students Organization: A Service Design Case Study”. This paper discusses how service design can inform the services offered by a major university graduate student governance organization. The research applies the experience cycle model (Evenson and Dubberly, 2008) and emerging service design thinking to develop a series of service experience lifecycle maps illustrating the interactive components, both tangible and intangible, of student council services use. The research and design processes of this case study involve multidisciplinary collaborations with the sponsoring organization of graduate students, practitioners, and faculty advisors to develop a set of visual prototypes reflecting the complexity of a student governance organization services and enable it to evaluate and strategize the design of its services through an informed process and service design criteria.
